- Russell B. Marz received a degree in "Food and Nutrition" from Buffalo University in NY, in 1979. In 1983 he received his naturopathic doctorate from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon. Upon graduating he traveled by bicycle with other naturopathic physicians around North America for a year lecturing on natural medicine. In 1985 he founded Omnivite Nutrition Inc., a company that specializes in unique nutritional formulas where he is president and formulator. In 1988 he moved to Portland, OR where he became an assistant professor of nutrition at NCNM. Dr. Marz has taught clinical nutrition at numerous naturopathic, chiropractic and acupuncture schools. He published a 600-page textbook on nutritional medicine Medical Nutrition from Marz 2nd edition in 2001, that is used by universities around North America. He is currently an adjunct professor of nutrition at, the National College of Natural Medicine. He earned a master's degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 1994. He is currently the medical director at the Tabor Hill Clinic in Portland, Oregon
